No Ric content, but this is a song I am contributing to a charity project for Oxfam. Click on the link within the link to see the details.
The song itself was written & recorded in about 45 minutes.
Lemme graze into your veldt/ lemme stomple your albino/lemme nibble on your buds/ I'm your Love Rhino
Another song from the 'Dysfunctional Illaureate' album, Deep Blue Sea is sort of the flip-side to last week's song 'Blind Road.' The subject once again is dealing with someone close to you who seems to be bent on self-destruction, but 'DBS' is a way less empathetic take on it. YES fans - check out the paraphrase of 'Wurm' at the end.
Thanks for buying the CD, Tom! I shall put the $10.24 to good use. Where did you buy it? CD baby should be selling 'DI' for $7.99. Was there an add'l shipping charge?
Hi Mark, Yeah, CDBaby - that was including the shipping - total price at my door (so I guess you don't really get to do the entire $10.24-sorry). Did a review too.
Fran, the whole CD is good. Even my wife and kids liked it! I would really suggest getting a copy of the CD. Not just to make Mark rich beyond his wildest dreams, but there is really some depth there you don't get over the internet. I enjoy it as much as my own stuff....
So Mark, 'and the band played on' somehow reminds me of the Hey Jude ending with some good 60s guitar. Nah nah nah nanananah hey Jude... twists thru my head during parts of it - intentional or just my head? We any closer to the JoyBomb?

Wow! Thanks for the props, you guys! And since my wildest dreams these days are based on being able to afford me some Kraft Mac & Cheese instead of the Food Towne brand, then I just may be closer to that dream than you would imagine.
I've been working on the mastering of 'Joybomb' for a few days now. Just tying up some loose ends. I may have to pass out a few "complimentary" copies to friends & family since it's going to take a LONG dang time to secure the permissions for all the samples I used. So for awhile, this CD will only be available for a "friendly donation." Be warned - 'Joybomb' is a bit of a different flavor than 'Dysfunctional...'
Yeah and maybe some powdered Gatoade to boot - check out the 'Archive through September 19' on this thread. Not sure if that is the most current version but it will give you an idea. This is a basement CD done on a little 16(?) track something or rather. We're starting to get some stuff worked up for another one.
So you don’t have to go searchin –
Here are my humble offerings (and some other stuff):
Hey Tom - great stuff! Puts me in the mind of the Dixie Dregs - Eric Johnson - Jeff Beck. Great band, too. All you guys are monster players. Looking forward to the new stuff. Instrumental, or are you working with a singer?
Thanks Mark, that means a lot coming from someone who cuts it like you do. Jeff Beck and The Dregs are among my faves from way back.
We do have a few tunes with lyrics but no one in the band has too much to say (or is capable of it). So far we haven't found anyone who wants to work with us or Vic versa. So the three of us just plod along occasionally playing gigs and havin fun.
Psycho-Billy genera seem to be where a portion of the next batch is heading. This with a Frunkestein trilogy, HoDown and a few others choice wackiness.
Thanks again for your kind words

(Hey guys - sorry for the repost - the myspace link should be jiggy-free now.)
