California is a good one and most appropriate. It gets my vote.

Another thought on meaning of "C";
"Concession", as in "giving in" to the demand for accurate reissues?

Don: In terms of overall look, quality and playability, I don't think that the V series was that far off. Did RIC ever claim that they were precisely the same as the instruments the Beatles' used?

There will always be concessions when making reissues, unless the reissue you are making is a few months old, as the same materials are not always available or the cost to produce it makes it untouchable for the majority of buyers.

In this case, how about "C" for conscientious.

I've often wondered, since these are basically reissues of Beatle guitars, why they didn't call them the "B" series. Just a thought.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

RIC had already released the "B" series many years ago.

It would also be a bit shortsighted since the C Series is far from being completed and who says they have to be Beatles guitars?

So John.... are you saying that there will be new C models introduced at some point?

Sure sounds that way.

Also sounds like a rerogatory press conference question.

Peter, sorry if I seemed to imply there was anthing wrong with the V series.I've had both V basses and 12s, and they are fine guitars, though,
[and a personal choice, but not just mine] it would have been nice if the Vs had had the scatterwound toasters on them.Whatever.

I hope there will be more "C" Series basses introduced. I am waiting for one with an unbound body and right-side up headstock, preferably in a choice of colors.

Just thought that word was as good a 'C' guess as any...

Quite frankly, I find the origin of the 'C' series somewhat caliginous!

I would say classic, although sometimes I just wish that they could go back to original, clean, end-all names.

Rickenbacker 325. 360/12. 4001. Just so you'd know that THIS particular 325 is THE 325, the best there ever will be, you know?
