The Anniversary bass has a plexi TRC and PG if I'm not mistaken; nice touches! I think the letters were routed or etched into the plastic from the back side. I have a great shot of the "75th" banner between the pickups. I'm not in love with the colour enough to buy one of these, but it is very beautiful. Thank god it's not another blue.

The RIC logo on the truss rod cover as well as the RIC 75the anniverary logo was laser etched into the back of the clear plexi and back-painted gold. If I'm not mistaken, Paul W. had something to do with this. Dale Bruce Fortune was in my tour group and was giving us stragglers at the end of the line a lot of cool info as we went. At one point we came upon a 75the Anniversay 4003. Dale picked it up and asked if I'd like my pic taken with it...YA! Adjacent to the rack it was in was another rack with several other Ricks waiting for final assembly. I noticed something different in the rack...it was a 620 with the anniversary color! Dale came over and we got pics of that one too. It was all over too soon but I'm glad we still have the HOB show tomorrow night and one last chance to see everyone.

Oh yeah Dane I think I talked with you there, but I didn't put it together that you were Dane Wilder from this Forum. I think I took a couple of shots of Dale holding the bass.
Didn't see that 620 Anniversary, drat.

I like the 75th model bass a lot. Trying to put myself on a list to order.
As far as comparing value to say the LK..That's a tough call. To me the big appeal on the Lemmy is not just that it's a limited artist model, but the workmanship that went into each piece.
Hard to believe Rickenbacker was able to release the LK at the price they did.
The 75th 4003 is in a unique color, has nice features, should be an excellent player and have collector's value.
Not to compare companies too much(I won't mention other names), but one thing you can count on with Rickenbacker is integrity with the ltd edition..meaning if they say 75, it's 75.That means something to collectors.

the 75th dark Cherry looks a lot like jetglo from a distance ... too bad they didn't put a horseshoe and checkered binding on the 75th anniversary bass ...

It's really dark, I couldn't capture the color well. The color is much deeper than this shows. Also the pg looks more like the trc (looking white-ish in this pic). The etched pg and trc are a touch of class.

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but, after arriving home and having a look at my photos, I realised that the 75th anniversary colour is slightly transparent. It can be seen in this photo.

Yes, Jeffrey, that is your hand in that photo! We were both in the first group and you were the first to pick it up and give it a try.
Did I hear it right when you asked Ben Hall if that bass had the newer neck profile and his reply was that he wasn't sure? How did the neck feel on that bass?
