I was watching that one too Bob.

Here I thought I struck gold selling my 2005 for $1600.00 last year! What a difference a year makes!

Those early Monty's are the SWEETEST blended color I've seen.

You know, the more I think about it, people looking for these colors are PROBABLY better off just getting a clean 4001 and getting a refinish. For these kind of prices, IF you can still find a cheap, clean MG for a grand plus the cost of a refinish, you'd SAVE a few bucks!

The way JH mentioned it I doubt it's a joke. If they announced a 4002 or 4005 on 4/1 I'd be a little suspicious but his announcement was pretty matter of fact and I'd expect a little more grandstanding if he was setting us up.

I'm thrilled with my 3 current 4004's so either way I'm a happy camper.

Here's the thing - If he announces it here, rather than on his site, I would be suspicious.Don't think so however, as the joke would have a mixed and divided reaction...

I betcha it is a joke.

Who makes a big announcement like this on a weekend?

Methinks JH is taking a big tug on our all-too-yankable chain.

The guitarists are too busy turning up their amps...

BTW - Would it be so outrageous to add another bass to the product line?

There's like 25 guitar models, not counting the acoustics, and 7 basses.

It would be nice if they added something really cool, but on April 1st? During a catch up year? No COY even? Sounds... well... FISHY to me. I hope I'm wrong, though.

I pray that it is something I can pass up. All the anniversary models which include an extra 4003. I would be divorced! Although I would still get half. That would be enough for a new bass. Sorry Cheryl!

Ok, hello everyone, hope everyone is doing fine, I think Mr. Hall is joking, but I have been wrong before. With all the back orders, I don't think adding a new bass would help matters at RIC.
I love everyone's basses photo's. peace Grendel

I think RIC may now decide to finish the run of 4001CS's now that the cat's been let outta the bag about it never actually being completed. Even though there have been plenty of high and low serial numbers on these, there must have been some error in the issuance of serial numbers during the run.
