Late to the dance but let me add my kudos to Dale and say that bass is really stunning. So striking to see the before and after pics. Looking forward to seeing it in person at RIO! - congrats Steve and Tammy!

Who did that work? I know his name is Dale - But Dale who?
Is he a member of the forum?

So how does it sound and play now that you've had it out for a bit?
Our own Dale Fortune did the work and yes he is a forumite.
The action is nice and low and it plays like butter. The intonation is spot on!
The neck is
flat and straight as an arrow.
However I haven't had a chance to plug her in yet.

That's great to hear. When you get her plugged in let us know how she sounds warming a set of Tubes

I gigged her last night and the sound was remarkable plus this bass is so damn light! It's definitely the lightest RIC bass I own.
The action is so low and the neck is so flat that it practically plays itself. It sounded great through my SVT+8-10s.

Well thanks to everyone for enjoying this dream come true for Tammy and Steve...Here's a picture of the latest project I finished last week. Converting a standard 330 into a 330LS using LEDs and a 3 channel color organ.

Wow! Stunning work as always Dale. The work of a true craftsman. It's been a while since I have seen you on the forum. I always enjoy reading your posts.
Btw thanks to you my v64 is back to being near perfect, now that it no longer has a twist in the neck. Your instructions worked like a charm.

Dale, there are a lot of people who want a LS, how difficult of a modification was it to do it to a stock 330?

Well Steve this was a fairly new 330 that I did this modification to...It's not difficult, I just need your 330 and we'll go from there...

I think so too. A bit much though to take a bass like that...There's a 4005 body out there, but they are still asking a bit much to buy it for a project like this.
Here it is...$4000 for a hunk o wood...
