The NME once ran a competition to find the best song lyric which replaced one word with the word "brick". "Killing me softly...with his brick" still makes me laugh.

Killing Me Softly was a great song in its day. It's a song that has been panned a lot because it is somewhat syrupy. Having said that I would love to have written that song because I would never have to work another day in my life.

Im interested in"Who was the subject of the song?" Ive got this feeling in the back of my head about John Denver or Simon/Garfunkel I know its wrong but does anyone else want to chime in? Is it wrong

I may add i asked the boys at work today and the repied"Wit,Eh,Talkin aboot!Aye right Scott bye now!"So they dont know either!!!!
