There were ones with no pilots...
And there were new ones and old ones......

All the rich and beg companies have their own "Chalets" and there are a lot of them....

- Chalets
The really well to do, fly in their own airplanes like this one...(at first I thought Dave Pascoe was here!)
I saw a couple of Mig 29s arrive first thing in the morning....

The best demo so far however was the F22 Raptor which flew yesterday. I ran outside quickly to see it and didn't have a chance to take my camera. An excellent video of a similar demo can be found here.

Download the movie and enjoy (Migs will probably fly later in the week...I've seen a video....it's pretty cool stuff too).
The Raptor demo team practices this at Langley AFB (on the other side of the runway from my work) at least once a week. It completely interrupts any conference calls, but it's fun to have people ask, "What was that????!!!!" If you don't watch to the end, you're cheating yourself from an opportunity to see something pretty special (then again, I realize this is a guitar based forum...so all AEROplane foolishness will end soon).

yeah, John, what's up?? You don't read about Rolling Stones running off with 18 year old airplanes!!

Two wings, noisy engines, crowded seats, they're pretty much all the same (the airplanes that is!!)
You're working your way back into blended scotch territory with the pix my friend...

Threats of blended Scotch will get you nowhere. I actually tried to get a picture, but couldn't for several reasons. Besides pictures just can't tell the story of how the entire Russian contingent drew crowds to their booths. People started flocking to that area of the Hall over 30 minutes before....uh.....showtime. It's a story I'll tell in private....
Today was my last day at the show. I had dinner one last time with Graham last night. I can't thank him enough!!!

Graham did take me on a Harrod's run last night to go shopping for a gift for Robin. When we walked out the door, here's what we say within 100' of each other....
Clearly I was shopping in the wrong neighborhood.....

Great trip John, can't wait to hear the details. Safe trip home my friend.

Harrod's...Pete Townshend said that was John Entwistle's favorite place to shop (actually, Pete really said it was John's one addiction)
Glad to hear you had a fun time. Did you get to see (and play) Graham's stunning RIC collection?
