Hey, I'd be all for that!!!
At least you won't be altering an iconic guitar in the process!

At the risk of getting caught up in a debate which can't be won, I'll voice my humble opinion...
This just seems like a bad dream... why alter an extremely historic guitar in it's own right, to try to replicate a beatle guitar? (please don't answer that, it's rhetorical)
Something is very wrong with this situation.

Here's the perspective of a history teacher, Rick lover, Beatles fan.
If your aim is historical preservation, modding the very first instance of an iconic guitar so that it looks like another, different guitar is not a good idea. I send kids to the internet all the time to look for RELIABLE information for class projects. I will not recommend that they visit your site. You've mutated a historical artifact into a faux representation of something else. Walmart-ized an important piece of history.
Yeah, you've got the right legally. Congrats on that.

John, you deserve one of these:
You're awesome.

I visited the Beatles Gear.com site only to find some (not very good) pictures of various guitars that the Beatles never actually owned.
Is this some kind of a joke?

If so, we are all waiting on the punchline.

Move along ~there is nothing to see here except for an
amazing collection of rare vintage gear !
Almost anyone here would give their
left nut for a chance to own S.Arden's old guitar and some other pieces~ imho.
I can assure you that this gear is in (Paul's)
very capable hands. No joke .

If not, show em if you got em. Nevermind, you know who you are .
Stay positive & ROCK ON ~!~
PS
nice post(s) , Peter. My hat is off .

That is essentially the basis of every post in this thread, we all wish we owned it and kept it in its original condition. We've seen what happened to the guitar in his "capable" hands.
