This brings me to the fact that I was all ready to plunk down some money on ordering a new 4001C64 when Rickenbacker discontinued them. So how about, along with a Model 1993/12, they reissue a Model 1999 bass! That would be awesome!

This is the guitar Pete Townshend recently acquired. It's about the closest he could get to getting one of his own originals back as this guitar would have been played by Pete Watson at many of the same venues on the same day as Townshend was gigging one of his...

The same guitar in recent times....looks like Mr Watson takes a good deal better care of his guitars than Mr Townshend
