Pappy Van Winkle Single Malt is pretty "decent" also. I like sitting watching the sun go down over Lake Michigan, a fine cigar, and a glass of single malt, cognac, or a good martini to round it all out.

Well I had the Perdomo Reserve Cabinet Series P and it bit worse than the Monte Cristo. I did have another Cuesta Rey and it wasn't quite as good as the first. The first had a maduro wrap and the second had a natural wrap, both Connecticut. I guess I like maduro!

The Cuesta Rey Centenario Collection uses only the finest aged long filler tobaccos which are skillfully blended with Dominican Binder tobacco. This "bunch" is then hand-rolled with either Connecticut Shade "natural" or Connecticut Broadleaf Sun Grown dark "maduro" wrapper tobaccos. These "Vintage" wrapper tobaccos are aged for an average of five years before they are sorted for their color, texture, and overall quality. Only the finest wrappers survive this painstaking grading process, these superior quality wrappers are then given to the master cigar rollers who skillfully roll them with the bunches carefully created with their rolling partners.

Finally every Cuesta Rey Centenario Collection cigar is aged inside a special cedar lined humidor for 120 days. I will smoke the Padron 1926 on Thanksgiving. It is now a toss up between the Padron 1964 and the Cuesto Rey Maduro Wrap for my fave so far.

Ok, I will keep yapping! I tried another Cuesta Rey Maduro Bellicoso and it was not nearly as good as the first. Maybe stores aren't all equal?

We are up in NO CAL at the redwoods. We ate turkey with about 50 other campers who get together here every year, so we met a lot of nice folks, and had great food. We are going to cook a 15 pounder today in a Ronco rotisserie and have our own little meal together. We have 2 adult children who still live at home and we are all here in our little TT. We got it for the wife and I but it sleeps 4 comfortably. It is tight for storage with 4 though!

This am we are going to drive through the redoowds which should be a blast! After dinner I have another Padron 1964 I will be lighting up!

Check this place out. He has GREAT knockoffs! I am buying Padron knockoffs that taste better than the real ones! ANd I had his Montecristo #2 knockoff and it was a close second to the Padron!

I actually went to the store and met Laith (the store is on Sunset). He took over the store from an uncle and is continuing the tradition..

Lockheed Martin Corp. banned smoking on all it's properties as of Jan 1. They are giving out gum and patches to employees. I believe New Jersey has banned it inside resturants.

We had a designated smoking area at my high school. Ah, the 70s.
