I think saw Eric for no more than 2 minutes throughout the entire RIC 75th weekend.

Here's Eric hard at work during the 75th.......

There's always a PR job if you get sick of that paintin' business, Eric! Image

Well Joey, next time everyone decides to meet up,I guarantee you'll be burdened with my presence for more than 2 min!! Unless of course you find yourself in Downtown Fullerton,in which case I'd be glad to buy ya a beer or 3.

See,apparently I DO show up on film..Usually badly.

Howard,I guarantee you're getting the better end of the deal in that pic! You have a beer AND the girl..And obviously I had no idea that a pic was about to be taken..Way to look at the camera!

"...I had no idea that a pic was about to be taken.."

I was pretty close to this distinguished group of characters at the moment the picture was taken and I'm thinking its either Eric's modesty or he's having a hard time keeping his eyes off Alisha.

BTW Eric, speaking of the 75th, unless you've done it in another thread, why don't you share your story of how the DCM color was "discovered"

It's actually kinda funny how that turned out..We were having some "issues" with our Fireglo paint at the time,so the good folks from our supplier came down to check it out..

In the end it was decided they were going to reformulate the paint, and they needed to take a sample..One of our painters went and got a can to pour it in,not knowing that the can at one point contained metallic paint. So he poured it in,it got sealed up,they matched it perfectly, and we got a gallon back to test..

Well we opened it up,and lo and behold, there was some nice looking metallic/pearlescent paint in there..Certainly NOT Fireglo though! Apparently the metallic residue in the can we supplied had miraculously changed our FG to DCM,and that's what our supplier matched..

So,just for the heck of it,we painted a test board..What a color! Well,Ben and I kinda looked at each other and said "Hey this is pretty darn cool color".That progressed to a test guitar, which was shown to John Hall, with very positive feedback, and it was then decided by Mr. Hall that a limited run of this color might be pretty neat to do,which coincided nicely with the 75th anniversary, and the rest is history..

And John,my modesty knows no bounds ;-) Actually I think I related you this story right about the time that pic was taken too.

Very cool story, Eric. It's nice to know the origin of the color.

With the MGD and checkered shirt, Eric, you look more like "My Name Is Earl."

I just noticed that Alisha is wearing a DCM colored shirt...at least on my monitor. She must be a prophetess...
