Hi to you all, Rick' lovers ! 
I'm a pure newbie here, this is my very first post !
…and in regard to my age, surprisingly pure newbie to Rickenbacker guitars !
So, please, may we rail back to the subject ?
Ok !
I've been playing guitar for 34 years, and owned and tried many of them, but… I didn't ever even touch a Rickenbacker during all these years !
(Let's also understand that we don't have so much of them to buy/try/compare over here in France…
)
Anyway, all along these loooong years, I always felt something "special" regarding those guitarists playing Rick' (Townsend, Beatles, Petty, Weller, Marr, Buck…), that was quite like some "envy"…
Those 330 & 360… They made their way into my brain, slowly but…
OK, noticed, but I stayed stuck to my Fenders, Gibs & others "esoteric axes" (remember the 80's ?
), and two years ago, still had more than 10 (!) guitars on the wall ! What for ? 
Even if regularly playing gigs and recording, I was always playing only 2-3 of them… and all others just collecting dust ! Too bad !
So, I decided to "shave" that wall of anything not worth it, right ?
I sold all my guitars, except a fabulous Tele RI-52 from 1991, bought used in 2008, the only real keeper, and decided to buy only desirable ones !
So, a Gretsch Anniversary joined the place (brand new one, to celebrate my 50 yo…) and started to hunt for a Rick 330 or 360 (used… I can't afford so much now… Ricks are VERY expensive over here !)
And, 3 weeks ago, that 330/6 JG has shown up for sale, at a reasonable price ! Of course I jumped on it, and it's now mine !
I can't believe how I stayed so far from these jewels so many years… actually, what's happened ??? This is one of the best unrevealed secret !
Just before pulling the trigger, I was quite afraid to be disapointed, because you can hear and read so much comments about this "so special" Rickenbacker neck…
BS ! I immediately fell in love with that guitar, believe it or not !
So, why do you pick one Rick over another ?
Because, for me, that "design", that "sound", that "attitude" haunted me, less or more, during years, sure, I was commited to have one some day !
Finally, I have in front of me 3 very different guitars (Telly, Gretsch, Ricken'), with their own pure exclusive character, and I'm really satisfied !
330 & 360 were the only goal for me, I didn't want a solid body, don't know why, may be not so sexy ?
