I think an internet vote is a good idea. 'course I would lean toward blueburst probably. But RIC have presented us with some lovely colors 'without' our help too (desert gold, burgundyglo, montezuma brown...).

A blueburst 370/12 with scatterwounds...
A blueburst Jazzbo or Comstock...

A blueburst 325, with 2:00 "f" hole, as per my watercolor on this thread a few weeks back.... (though it needs the extra pickup!)

Greenglo, greenglo! I would love to have my 4005 redone in that. Anyone know anyone who can do it?

I was watching MTV here in Lima Perú last night (MTV Español or something like that) and an R.E.M. video came on with what looked like all Japanese teen agers playing the instruments, and a teen aged girl played one of those 60's greenglo 6 string 360's in the video. Does anyone know anything about this? I missed the beginning. The only reason I knew it was REM was because it said so at the end. I forgot the name of the song.

{bowing down to Jerry Juden for his Greenglo/"Apple Corps. Green" choice}

Jerry-- There is a guy in the city of Greensboro here in my home state who could probably do it. His name is Wayne Jarrett and he has a strong reputation for doing high quality instrument refinishing. Problem is I don't know how expensive he would be.

Greensboro.... How appropriate! What better place to have your guitar refinished in green! Image

I think I pretty much said this earlier in the thread, but I would like to see burgundyglo, blueburst and a transparent deep purple as added color choices that are offered all the time.

When is the factory going to announce the 2004 color?

Wow, been busy for a couple of days and now we have a voting action going here.

Here's for your Beautiful Sunday, Melissa.

Can't argue with your choices Paul!

What's with the cool solid top on that BlueBurst 381?

Oooh, thank you, Paul. You have made my day! And I agree with your votes, although I think Blueburst/Oceanglo should be #1!

Purple is simply the most reprehensible color this side of dark carnation pink.

Blueburst/oceanglo -I may buy two.

Melissa-- Sharp eye for the irony there, it went completely over my head. Maybe that's a good omen for Jerry to contact Wayne Jarrett about the Apple Corps. Green refin on one of his Ricks.

The "Apple Corps. green" is a really cool color,
and I may actually get to see those guitars up close someday--I just found out from reading that Voxtalks thread that the store is in Milwaukee, and my in-laws live just 25 miles from there....we get there a couple times each year. Now I guess I have another reason to look forward to those trips! Still, I can't get that blueburst 381 out of my mind....I keep imagining that finish on this guitar (mine)! Although I would never really consider altering that perfect mapleglo finish Image

Absolute beauty, Melissa!
That extra wavy-flamey figured maple is perfect candidate for the Blueburst/Oceanglo finish---makes the guitar/bass look like being made of sea water.

Very cool! They have a nice, bright jewel tone look to them. BTW, Noel, if you don't like the idea of a purple Ric check the July 31 archive of this thread....that purpleburst 350 just might change your mind! Also I think a really dark eggplant purple would be pretty. Maybe with a slight metallic tinge to it. My husband knew somebody who had a custom paint job done on a Corvette, and he said that depending on the angle of the light it would look either black or purple, and would kind of shimmer between those colors--wouldn't that be a cool Ric finish!
