Now that's one bass I would not modify...and that's saying a lot given my history here on the forum.

That looks spectacular Sean. Kudos to Dale for a wonderful piece of work. Both you guys have reason to be proud.
That '68 is wonderful too. Very distinctive woodgrain on that upper bout, that should be easily identified if it ever shows up again.

I noticed that streak in the woodgrain on the '68 and thought the same thing, Andy.
Two gorgeous Rickenbackers, Sean. Now we all see why you wanted something really special. Hopefully you'll find your old '68 someday. Then you'd have the ultimate S and the ultimate Deluxe!

You're very welcome, Sean. I'm glad to know that some good came out of that thread. I think that you were one of about 8 people that payed it any attention! Actually, I'm still surprised that with all the proud owners of 60's Ricks around here bragging about how there's nothin' like their 60's Rick bass necks...only one bothered to post measurements on his.

You're both right! I fainted when I opened the case, and haven't put it down since... 
She looks great, and plays nicely too. The action is a bit higher than I like it, but a set-up will cure that.
