I'd go for one of these... maybe two; one like this, and one with fat Gibby-type humbuckers, but with the same-sized footprint as Rick p/ups, and a Bigsby or Accent! Make mine in Jetglo, please!

Thanks Ben. The plot thickens.

Paul, I really like that look. It would be nice to compare the differences in tonality between the two instruments on your wish list.

Likewise; I am thinking a production guitar like that would be a Les Paul Eater, but having a bit more bite/bright due to the maple body; one could even go with a third version with hot toasters or hi gain-y as comparable to something that would eat up the P-90 LP.
A two post bridge option would be nice, though the four post bridge is quite resilient; I was playing aggressively with the Blue Boy at a gig last night, and whacked the bridge hard enough so that it was leaning forward on two posts. It still sounded in tune, , but I whacked it back in place at the first opportunity during the song. I quickly checked my tuning after the song's end and the guitar was essentially in tune, within the in tune parameters of my Boss tuner. Nuts!
A two post bridge with a thicker hunk of metal for the bridge would make the guitar more sustain-y; and I like my Ricks to sustain as well since I use them for plenty of Lead work, and effectively so!

That's WAY cool...
I'd want to see a 381v58 in Autumnglo.. Figured Alder (or what ever the non-Maple early Capri wood was...), Combo 800 electrics....
The James Burton package

(I guess since he removed the middle pup from a non-vibrato guitar that would be a 383?)
Oh hells bells! I'd just re-issue the full Capri line up and throw in a 4000v59...

I would also go for a 330VP in white.

Well, if you're lucky, and Ben Hall's tired of looking at the test 330 pearl white from a month or so back, maybe you'll have a shot at it at auction...

The company offered white for many many years, then suddenly dropped it. It's a classic/standard colour for a guitar and at some point I hope it returns to the stable.

Couldn't find the thread I once started with these fantasy make-overs... sorry to the guy whose guitar I just photobutchered, I was just bored:
I tried to photoshop the ramp out, added a 2nd soundhole and moved the knobs...

I think the ramp is a pretty iconic RIC styling que, but I like the lower sound hole. How about trying this with the ramp, but with the knobs along the bridge side of the lower sound hole?

Hi Dane, I've been messing with the knobs... somehow the body shape makes it more difficult to place the knobs with two sound holes, unlike a Gibson or Gretsch... at least I don't feel they're ever in the right place with a lower soundhole!
I'll move them to what I think you mean and upload another picture

Due to the ramp (it was already badly visible in this picture that is why I used it for a non-ramp edit) I had to move the knobs around.

Na...Looks to bizzy. Try lining them up along the top curve of the lower sound hole.

Put one knob on the upper treble bout a la Gretsch.
