Thanks a lot.
Getting Better bass: it is again a "filtered" track. This is alright for the "Rock Band", but we would prefer unfiltered tracks, even with additional drums or special edits, like guitar licks, hand clapping, etc.

Anyway, these isolated tracks are fantastic.

A lot of the early tracks can not be truly isolated as they were recorded on, and mixed down onto a 4-track. They have used separation technology, but it's not going to equal what a truly isolated track sounds like.

I was playing the game last night and you can tell which tracks are isolated because, typically, when you hit a wrong note, the instrument drops out of the track. I was playing a song off of one of the earlier albums and the bass kept playing despite a couple of wrong notes. There isn't much you can do with two tracks! :)

Incredible, and many thanks for the updates. Dig a Pony is another great bass line that comes alive. Little string bending going on....the subtleties of McCartney's bass playing come alive in these iso tracks.

How about:
Back in the USSR, drums
The End, bass & drums
Golden Slumbers, bass.

Many thanks, Richard!

Excellent tracks for the most part! I've been following along a bit but finally a question.

On the Anthology footage, which Abbey Road track is it that George Harrison comments on for the bass sound? "Listen to that direct injection. Who is playing that?" It's either You Never Give Me Your Money or Golden Slumbers. George Martin comments that this is take one, and piano and bass are both there, so it can't be Paul. George H must have forgot what song(s) he played bass on. Remember the photo of him in the sunglasses playing the Jazz Bass?

I just listened to both, posted earlier, and something jumped out at me in YNGMYM. From 0:00 - 0:52, the bass tone is very punchy / trebly. From 0:53 to the end of the track, the bass tone changes. Is this all Paul on the Rick, and he just flips the pickup selector switch, or could this be George on the first part and possibly Paul taking over for the remainder of the track on an overdub or punch-in? Have a listen and let me know what you think.

Also, a quick comment on the Back in the USSR "guitar" track. That is one jumbled mess of a track! I hear a couple guitars, maybe a buried alternate bass part, piano and jet!

YOUR WISH IS MY COMMAND!

WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS (BASS)

Yes, George doubles part of the bass part on his 360/12, :D

The End Bass & Golden Slumbers have already been done. Look back a page or two. Unless you want The End bass & drums combined?

BACK IN THE USSR (DRUMS)
This is Paul on basic drums and, according to Recording The Beatles, John and Paul both overdubbed drum fills. Especially heard on their own like this, you can tell they haven't got Ringo's impeccable timing.
THE END (DRUMS)
Odd as it may seem today, The End was the first (and only) time Ringo's drums were recorded in stereo!
