^^^ Look closely at the photo. I have seen cigarettes stuck between strings at the headstock, but John
has his cigarette pierced by a string-end. It appears to be floating in thin air.

Either that or it's suspended in George's aura.

All that aside, what amazes me is the amount of photographic documentation of the Beatles in existence. Man, they must be the most photographed group, collectively and individually ever. And it seems as though more and more photos keep turning up daily.
