'School Isn't Fun Anymore'

from the 3rd album 'Tea Party' which exists only in my head at present. Featuring the 1968 4001 MG on the main bassline and vibrato chords. Unlike 'Joybomb' which is a big lush production showcase, 'Tea Party' is going to be more of a stripped down album similar to 'Dysfunctional Illaureate' - which is presently the only album for sale. Thanks to you guys who have shown interest in 'Joybomb' - I'll definitely give y'all the heads-up when it's ready.

It's the holiday season - where Christmas music is piped in non-stop everywhere you go, and you think you'll go absolutely bonkers and hurt some people if you hear another note. Well, call me sentimental, but I'd be foolish not to get in on this action. I've done my own version of 'Away In A Manger' for all you hum-buggers out there. So sit back with your eggnog, relax, and enjoy. And if you find yourself being filled with a sense of warmth and well-being and merriment in general, then you aren't listening to it right.

Tearin it up with Away in a Manger... love the little backup singers. Got me into the Holiday spirit - I CAN do battle in the malls now!!! What's next Little Drummer Boy? To Mark and all the other Formites other there and your families - Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and happy any other holiday celebration I may have omitted.

It only has one song on it (and a more or less unfinished one at that) but the song gives a sort of a feel for my style, which is probably some sort of hyphenated rock.

Ironic that a guy named Bacon would pull the topic AWAY from food. (OK. That was dumb, but I couldn't resist. My apologies in advance.)

Great piece, Isaac! Very interesting riff, and a great sounding guitar. How did you record it?

It's my 360/12 put through a compressor then straight into the computer. I based the riff around a chord which is fingered like this:
E A D G B E
1 0 0 0 1 0
with the F on the E string being alternated with the sound of the open string.
I thought it might have sounded a little unfinished since it was sort of recorded on a whim, but I kind of like the way it came out.

I'm likin the 12string sounds... wish I had some time to play with the tune out of time right now.
