Thanks Jon, I am curious as to how many of the 300 landed in the various countries.

Sounds like at least 28 went to the UK.

I'm sure glad I did not have the job of deciding how the 300 were to be distributed. JH was ready to start swinging as we played verbal volleyball about the 300. It must have been a real gong show when every RIC dealer in the world was trying to buy all 300 Friday morning, YIKES!!!

Ford should have hired JH, they can't seem to give their stuff away.

All and all though, my wife is pretty cool about my basses, she really likes Ricks, and coaxed me into buying my 4003DG (like it took alot of coaxing), she calls it her bass.

Same here, it didn't take much coaxing from my wife either. Though she hasn't called the 4003DCM her bass, I ever got a Rick in the Sea Green finish, she might claim it!

Joey, I have a bass refined in Sea Green, and my wife begs me not to sell it.

Marc, my wife wants to know why I didn't order one when they were available.
...and I want to kick myself every time time I see the 4003S/5 Sea Green in the background of the basses available page on the POTR site.

I think that Sea Green S5 on the POR page belonged to Dave Pascoe and he traded it in for a beautiful birdseye C64, if I remember the story right. Dave, you got your "ears on?"

That's nothing. I used to own two 4003S/8's in JG and sold them right before they discontinued that model. If I still had them, they would be double the value.
