Is that Pete at the mic with Paul on drums? ... and although it doesn't look like him, is that George on the left?
beatles-gen-1902.jpg
And what guitar is that with playing along with Paul? Doesn't look like a Rick neck.

+1, George's Futurama.

Yes, its the Futurama.

The thing that threw me was the time context. By the time they were in those leathers and Paul had his Hofner, I thought George was using his Gretsch Duo-Jet exclusively... obviously thats no the case. This pix must show one of the last times that George used the Futurama.

And who is the Mystery Man playing a Hofner Violin Bass right handed?

Doesn't look like George to me.

Too much weight on the face of this person to be George at this early stage, I suspect.

I think the added weight is just an artifact of the bad photo.

You may be right. It is hard to imagine who else it would be.

That was my question, if it isn't George, who the heck is it?

To me, it looks like a young Mike McCartney.

"Because the Fourmost were more comedic (ie. had a laf on stage) they were one of the few groups that my brother and his chums mixed with on stage. This image was taken from the back of the Cavern by the entrance steps at a Christmas do with Mike (4most) Millwall borrowing George's jacket, Brian (4most) O'Hara borrowing a violin and his mother's scarf, and George borrowing a dressing gown and someone's Christmas cracker hat. I've just realised, sadly, none of these young men are now with us." - Mike McCartney
