July 24 should be ok for me and the other Rickenbacker owner in the house. I don't know any cover tunes so I'll just bring my bass and hang around. I think her wifeness will bring her model 1996 guitar. Oh ...will it be early in the day ? I is a lazy sleepin late sob.

The jam will be scheduled for noon until eight PM, Rick, but early birds can enjoy a pre-jam brunch at Paul W's house which is ten minutes away. Worth waking up early for, I promise.

But whenever you arrive, you'll be welcome!

We're looking at the 24th of July for the big date. Yea or nay, any comments about that?
Also, the two rooms are about 300 sq. ft. each and we have 15 to 20 on board already. Do you think we'll need both of them? It would be nice to have the place virtually to ourselves, but, of course, it will cost more. Comments?
Hey Kira,
The 24th looks good for me
We usually do one room down here (SoCal) but I'm not so good with Sq. ft-age. I'll defer to the Kings of the Mini Con, Paul and Rich, for expertise on this matter.

Very good, Dan!
The rooms are in the 15' X 20' range and will cost about $150.00 each with PA and drums ($120 without). Maybe one room could be used just for socializing and drooling and the other for the actual jam?

There's also a lobby area. If everybody chips in about ten or fifteen dollars we could have both rooms.

Two rooms sounds good to me - one with PA & drums for jamming, one "quiet room" maybe with a couple of amps to try out instruments individually and be able to talk without having to compete with the band? Just thinking out loud...
Oh, and July 24 works great for me!

Good, Harry, that's my thinking exactly.
I'll bring this up again later, but if anyone can bring lighting for these dim rooms it would be a lot better. Maybe some colored lights, etc., something a little festive ... posters and banners would also help set the mood.

Yes, John, please come and do a guest set for us!

That would make it really special!

OK, one more time: Any objections to the 24th of July for our jam?

Sounds good. I'm inviting attendees to a BARF BRUNCH on the morning of the event. Time and location TBA.
