I'm still waiting to hear back from my Bay-area friends ... but I think that they have a conflict this weekend, so I don't think that I'll make this one.

Bummer, but just in case there is a mix-up on the date, would clarify that its not this weekend, but the following weekend, the 18th !

So peoples are looking for song suggestions... I am a firm believer in the 3 chords style, but this is what I can kinda play,
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
some REM
some Byrds
some Beatles ie, "Come Together"
Opening riff for Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here"
some Ramones "Blitzkrieg Bop"
Yardbirds
As for gear, 360/6, 360/12C63, AC30HW2X, pedals, jam book, ice chest with beverage (probably no firewater), chips & salsa

For some of the songs played at BARCs past some tab/chords/lyric sheets I have. In pdf format they are. Where to post for distribution should I?

If anyone is interested, one of the Ricks I'm taking to BARC will be for sale. It is a RM 1997 Reissue in near mint condition with Mapleglo finish and beautiful grain to the wood. Let me know here on the forum if you are interested or I'll see you there! Will also post in the Marketplace section. Pictures can be found here: http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... 6order%3D1

Steve & Doug
looks like both of you guys have some of the same songs and artists cross referenced ....Tom Petty, R.E.M., Byrds, etc. That's great for getting the jam session launched if several folks know a few tunes in common or can follow the song chart. ! Thanks for posting those PDF song file links here Doug.... very helpful. Those links work great for downloading the song charts.

Rich: Do you remember last year at Gary's when all of us (bar Gary, Steve and myself) all launched into a 12-minute 12 bar blues jam in E? That's the kind of thing I'd think would bowl over well at any sort of jam.

Yeah, do something like that but play "One Of These Days" instead, very simple, fun song to jam on.

Definitely a fun song to play/jam to! It even gives anyone who happens to bring a steel along a chance to play along.
Dang, makes me wish even more that I was able to attend, I'd definitely bring a steel for that!

Jake : thanks for your good idea of jamming in E, as its a good ice breaker for any jam
Jeff: a coincidence that you should mention Floyd's "One of These Days" as I had just resurrected the "Pulse" DVD a week ago - and because I couldn't get enough of the cool Steel guitar, I had hit the rewind to repeat this song "One of These Days." It's a good suggestion Jeff ..... we did some RickenFloyd jamming at last year's BARC, so I'm game for trying a tune like this ! And Gareth said his Trace Elliot rig can handle two Bass inputs, thinking back to the original studio version of "Days" with both Gilmour and Waters on dual Basses (as mentioned in the Bass Tab below).... I just think our stage décor at BARC is a little sparse compared to the lasers etc of the Pulse set
By copy to Doug --- are you bringing your Ric Steel that you acquired a year or so ago ?

The only time I saw Pink Floyd was in June 1973, not quite as fancy as the Pulse show but they did have a big spinning mirrored disk mounted high above Nick Mason, some lasers, lots of smoke/fog and a burning gong!

All right! I do know that one.
one of these days, I'm going to cut you into little pieces
I saw a show by the MIRV about a dozen years ago where they started out their set with this song. They were all wearing lab coats and gas masks. As the bassist was heavy chugging along the A string, it snapped. He looked surprised, even through the mask. So, protective eyewear, lasers or not?
What key is "Killing Floor"?
...lefties?

If you're game, let's give Floyd's "One of these Days" a test run at BARC !
Meantime, if you are referring to Echo & Bunnymen's "Killing Moon" enclosed is a chord-chart
