Hi gang, the wife and I went to Signature Inn yesterday and saw the meeting room. It will do the job very well. Unfortunately Sheronda was off for the holiday and wont return 'til Monday. The lady that showed us the room could only quote a price of $175.00. I told her the price Jeffery had discussed with Sheronda and the lady said she didn't doubt that, but we would have to wait to talk to her. I think we'll just go for Saturday 14th, seems to be the main concensus and if you think Signature is ok, I'll wait until Monday to get the room reserved and find out what kind of group rates they have.

I just found out that my guitar player scheduled a gig for the 14th so I guess I'll have to leave at around dinner time......drats !

I've got a gig that night too, just a short 2 hour show, so I'll probably go back to the inn afterwards.

I should be there around 3pm on Saturday.

I can be there any time.

Jeff, I'll be there Friday aft. Hope you can be there then! Let me know! Anyone else --- join us at the bar! Randy -- let me know the room situation and I'll be the first to book. Hey! where's you gig? Is it anywhere near? Let us know and I can gather any of the forumites there and we'll go see you. How's that for pressure!!

Yeah Mike, it will be pressure. Most of the people I will be playing with are people I have never played with before and we are playing songs I've never done either. I'm not sure if it is open to the public, but will let you know.
If you're coming in the afternoon, I'll be able to hang with you 'til show time. I'll get you up to the hotel.

I have just reserved the meeting room at Signature for the 14th - from 05:00 p.m. til 11:00 p.m.. That should allow Chris enough time to spend all his money in Springfield;-).Right now you're looking at $75.00 for a room - could go lower if enough people show. Call Sheronda at (614) 890-8111 to book a room.

Well, I'm probably out. I'll have to leave for my gig when the festivities start. I guess I'll shoot for "Confluence '06".....

Brian, how early will you have to leave? This is not set in stone just yet. We could maybe go for a little earlier - I just gave her that timeslot to put the room on hold. She is mailing the contract to me today.

I don't want things changed because of my gig schedule......plus most people probably aren't showing up until around that time anyway. I'll see if I can get my gigged changed and if not I'll see how things develop with the confluence schedule and make my plans from there. Thanks for the thought though
