This is fun. I can't make out quite what the pictures lead to either. A cafe, a shipyard, computers, and ... rickenbacker?
My guess as to what computer company would be apple.
Fun stuff!

Go to the Photography link and click on Clang. You'll see the pics that JH referenced under the IBM portfolio.

Excellent, Steve!

We're going to figure this darn thing out yet. It's got to be some kind of E-Commerce campaign featuring IBM servers and software.

IBM sounds better. Besides, if many of you recall, JH did say that there was something in the works for the website because there were a number of people grumbling about it not being updated or having anything new...someone said that it was "antiquated" as I recall. Let's think about this...New ad campaign that will incorporate Ric and IBM for new online action....maybe a build your own custom site too???

Yes I agree, Ric and IBM? linked in an ad campaign. Also maybe order direct? That would be great, sort of like Carvin but ahem... Rickenbackers. But then again they would have to cut out all their dealers. I think the ad campaign is more likely. A bunch of Kids playing Roundabout on 4003's, haha! JH also used to be in the computer industry before coming to Ric.

I think the announcement will illustrate how IBM middleware helps Rickenbacker work better with their suppliers and customers (retailers). Whether such a system affects the RIC/end-user, (us), relationship, remains to be seen. I'd like to think that the news will have some impact in this area.

Don't forget John said it might even be hilarious...
I'm not trying to make any guesses from my part but I enjoy reading what everyone else thinks
We need to get CSI on this, they could figure this one out, haha.

My fluent Thai-speaking acquaintance says that Thai Business article talks about future IBM and IT strategies, but no mention of Rickenbacker guitars...
