Likely the only use of the Northrop YB-49 "Flying Wing" in rock history! Yes, that was a real airplane from the late 1940s, though it didn't have the big "Wings . . . " letters on it. (Photo from Wikipedia)

My father had taken a photo of a Flying Wing back in the day at some air field. Unfortunately, I have no idea where the negatives are. :(

Neil Aspinall's old Commer van.... I see it described as "battered blue" and also "grey and maroon". As we see, given the two different license plates, there was likely two different vans at different times.

RIP Neil......
Tuesday, 25 March 2008
He managed Apple records, sang in the chorus of "Yellow Submarine" and was known affectionately within the music industry as the "real fifth Beatle". Few people had such an intimate knowledge of the world's most famous band as Neil Aspinall, who died yesterday in a New York hospital after a short illness.

As to the total number of gigs by Pauly, I see this:
"The Beatles, in Hamburg, the city in which the band completed an exhausting apprenticeship - performing 281 concerts over 2 1/2 years"..... and ..... 292 appearances at the Cavern Club....

So.... 281 + 292 = 573, and we haven't begun to count the '62-64 England tours yet..... ok, stay tuned.

So Brammy, any idea of what exactly that means as far as a day of playing?

I think I've read somewhere that they would be playing 8 hours a day. Do you really think it was really that much?
That's a lot of hours singing and playing. I would definitely have "Blisters on my fingers"!
