Neck of the early version 4004 Laredo

I only played with fingers(-nails) the last 15 years I remember. For that the position is perfect as I use the treble PU for thumbrest and pick with the fingernails about 1cm behind the middle of the PU. If I get further down to the bridge the sound looses the bass frequencies dramatically. For very low subbass sounds I use the neck-PU for thumbrest and the fingernails pick right on top of it. I think you would not have a problem with the old Laredo's PU position, even if you use a 2inch washer as a pick(Lemmy style) on the E-string it would not click as the magnetic area is covered by a thick plastic. But I hope your 4004Cii will have a thinner and closer neck. Probably the neck of my Laredo was used as a prototype for "road-construction-workers"-4004 like Lemmy's.
