"Never Grow Old" is definitely a great showcase for the Rick. Just out of curiousity, how was the bass recorded for this demo?

Kurt, i shall list exactly how it was done:
•My 1991 white 4003 was strung with a brand new set of D'Addario prosteels, 45-105.....played with a hard pick obviously.
•I was plugged into a generic DI box, which was run into a line6 bass pod on the desk....i have no idea what settings were used on it as its only purpose was to add a defined low end to the miked signal if required,
•Ran a pass-thru cable from the box into my amp, set up in the corner of the room, which was pretty big. My amp is An Ashdown 180H head, with two homebuilt 1x15 cabs loaded with celestion 150watters. I had a lot of high mid boost on my amp, and the volume was up LOUD. The volume was the key really. And it was miked using a sennheiser (or how ever you spell it)
