They are indeed Geoff!
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Just as a comparison, if there's anyone out there with both a Tele and a 620 could they please post a photo of the two guitars standing side by side?

Um, Steve, life would be better for our friend Carl if your 330 was a 620...

Ha ha. Thanks for the effort Steve. But...

I was hoping for a picture like this one of my two favourite babies, just so I can get a feel for the relative size comparison between the Tele and the Ric.

And yes, a 620 would have been nice...Image

Thanks guys. Judging from John's photo it looks like I'll be a little cramped up compared to my usual playing "stance", so I'm sure that'll feel awkward for a while. But hopefully it's something that I'll get used to given time and practice.

This thread has been very helpful.

Carl,
I just got my 620, two days ago, which has the same body as the 660 and I've played a Telecaster for years.
It took about 6 strums to get used to.
You will have no problem adapting.

Sonically, which model comes closer to a Tele sound, the 620 or the 660?
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

My $.02 is that a 620 nor a 660 sound much like a Tele at all...

My 650A could nail some Tele tones.
