If only,I CAN STILL LEAVE IN HOPE

For those Brits who contribute to this forum, you may be aware that the Official website had info regarding a show called Through The Keyhole( For those not of these shores, this is a programme presented by the extremely irritating Lloyd Grossman, in which a "celebrity's" house is viewed and the "celebrity" panel have to guess whose house it is. I reckon they are told but I'm a cynic, anyway Frank Allen was the celebrity whose house was visited, some months ago apparently and no one, including FA apparently, knew when it was to be broadcast.
I received a phone call tonight from my grandson to tell me he saw it on tv on monday afternoon, 21/1, exicitedly I asked him if he had recorded it for me, but you can guess the answer.
No more coming round to watch Mnachester United on Satellite TV for him.
For those who may have had someone record it, I won't tell you if the panel guessed whose house it was, my earlier comment gives a clue perhaps? For those waiting in anticipation - Sorry wait for the repeats!!

Checked out keymailorder.com. Too bad that the forthcoming cd offers nothing new to me, only the tracks I introduced on my Searchers Web Page. But I hope there will be an interesting booklet or foldout sheet.

Additional tracks have been located from an original acetate. The final track listing for the "Iron Door Sessions" CD is:
1. "Sweets For My Sweet"
2. "All My Sorrows"
3. "Jumbalaya"
4. "Rosalie"
5. "I'll Be Missing You"
6. "Maybelline"
7. "Sho' Know A Lot About Love"
8. "Maggie Mae"
9. "Let's Stomp"
10. "Ain't That Just Like Me"
11. "Sweet Little Sixteen"

This is great news for Searchers fans. For a relatively small group of enthusiasts, we've been quite lucky what with the Pye reissues, Sire Sessions, RCA, Sweden and now the Iron Door. The only missing link at this point in time is Star Club as it has been unavailable for a few years now I believe.

Now, what I would like to see is a Pender / Sire era concert. I saw them live and they were great. They could rock and roll most convincingly at that time. They've since mellowed out a wee bit.

Cheers,

db
