Jared,
How much for one of them??? I've done the same mod to my Monty Brown except I went for the gold 60's pickguard which comes down to the surround. It is beautiful. Tony did mine too. Excellent job. The horseshoe completes it, though.

I like the tv knobs ,I think they would look better on a 4005 with gold guard.

More Rug Ricks.
2002 black trim 4003 Mapleglo I bought on ebay Sept. 03, then sold to Jeff Rath who then sold to Bob Scott. Prettiest wood grain I've seen in person.
2000 black trim 4003 Jetglo fretless I bought on ebay Oct. 03, then sold to Jared Nakanishi. Black IS beautiful!
1993 4004 Cheyenne I bought from Dave Westheimer in July 03. Shot before I had Jeff Rath do a vol/vol/tone trick on it. Lightest and easiest Rick I've ever played.
1997 4004 Laredo Fireglo I bought on ebay in Feb. 04. Shot before I had it "Rathed" to vol/vol/tone. Now has low B string for BEAD tuning.
1972 4001 Mapleglo I've owned since 1975. Tried to refinish it myself way back then, now at Dr. Staberow's clinic.

I immediately thought "oven knobs" too, until I looked at the Pick of the Ricks picture :-/
I think it's great looking as it is. Classy, no doubt. Nice bass Paul!

Yeah, Bob, that should look a little familiar. I would have kept it, but had ordered the Monte and needed to make room in the collection and the checkbook.

From Scott Provencher.
"I just took a few cool pics of my 4003 MB with upgrades taken outside in
sunlight. I can't shrink them small enough to post. I was wondering if you
could do it for me. You'll see I put a vintage style gold painted pickguard
(by Pickguardian) and gold painted TRC by Chris Clayton at POTR...and I
added a toaster pickup. It really looks awesome and sounds even better."

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I would love for RIC to offer gold pickguads and TRC's as a factory option.

Hey Scott P., almost identical to mine (head of thread)! Except, of course, for the "signature edition." Hey, when you've arrived . . . . ;^)

Hi Paul,
Thanks to Peter for posting these for me. I had them posted here because of your thread, Paul. Thought the same thing. Other than the signature edition, it's the 60's style pickguard, too. I might also add what a difference the toaster makes with the sound. Especially with new Pyramid flats. I thought about the sig. guard but decided against it. It does look great on yours though. Monty brown and gold are a match made in heaven. Thanks again, Peter!!!!
