The serial number will have two letters at the start...the first is the year (your 75 will be an "O") and the second is the month (A through L)...you might already know this, sorry if I'm repeating "common knowledge". Image

I suppose that if you don't have the bass near you to check, and can't recall the exact SN, we'll have to wait.

Damn, I'm good with the obvious this morning! Image

If your bass is a January or February, this brings up and interesting question. Was the production of 75's a mixed bag of 1/2" and 1" spacing for the neck PU, or was there a definite deliniation when they switched from one to the other?

I would have to say it is a mixed bag. I have a '75 as well, ser# OJ 7200, making it Oct. '75; it has the 1 inch spacing; I have seen a few OF and OG '75's with the 1/2 inch spacing as well..

Oh, did I mention mine is White with the black plexi TRC?

I had a 75 with 1/2" spacing, I think most had 1" spacing though.

Figured I'd post my "fleet"...just the basses. It's modest compared to some, but I'm pleased with it Image :

Are we gonna start making fun of his bed like we do Rath's couch?

Nice basses.

Yes, Andrew...we have to meet up. Things are calming down, and the kids are getting ready for their sumemr excursions. I'll give you a call (hopefully) this week so we can set a time up. Looking forward to seeing al your guitars-looks/sounds like a veritable museum! Image

The bed...damn, we have a room upstairs where it's basically a second family room. Computer, my stereo, most of the guitar/music stuff is there. Also my old furniture from my single life, and my old cat. It's like a little slice of my bachelorhood...except my kids monopolize it from time to time.

Essentially that bed is the cats, except when we have company over and need it as a guest bed. Then I fly into white tornado mode to make the room presentable and bed sleepable.

Next time I take pics of the guitars I'm going to try and make the backgrounds a little nicer! Image
