Highly Figured of course, next to Koa this is the best. Is that Commonwealth Street in the middle? Dale [email protected]

No school yet, Howard. Funny!
I've been in the country for four months and haven't gone to school yet. I have some English classes in July and in September I'm doing an audition for a three year jazz course. That'll be fun. I think my audition song will either be Rush's "La Villa Strangiato" or Weather Report's (Jaco's) "Teen Town"... I'm trying to figure out whitch one is more impressive. Any thoughts?

Well now........ Seeing as how I'm 53, the only "Rush" I know is the one I perform at around 3am every morning when my scarred old bladder is ready to burst and I'm a recently inducted member of the 'Melbourne Old Farts Who Have Rickenbackers But Can't Play Them Very Well' society, I'd say it's your choice, Nate!!
'Twere me, I'd probably go for the safest option (whatever that may be). But then again, I'm a conservative kind of guy
No school for four months??? If only I'd been that fortunate during my formative years. I'm guessing as far as you're concerned, English is gonna take a distant back seat to the audition. Good luck with it, Nate.
So where are you from originally? ('Mum's womb' is not an acceptable response!)

Lol. An itch in Daddy's pants?
Buffalo, New York. It's kind of a ****** place but most of the non Kiwi family lives there. I've lived in plenty of other places in the states too. Waco, Texas, Seattle, Washington, and Lexington, Virgina. My Mom is a Kiwi so I have Dual Citizenship. It's nice to have a choice of country to live in. I also have a few great aunties who live in Australia, so they want me to come there for a while. So many places to go and little money.

Nate, don't the aunties have some $$$ for their favorite nephew?
Buffalo holds some fond memories for me. Entering and leaving. The fly specks on the truck stop windows.
Howard, the safest option fot you is the same as mine: ALWAYS answer Nature's call when you hear (feel) it.
I have a student who's from Hawaii, whose father is one of a half dozen remaining koa plantation owners (his words--have not checked accuracy on this statement yet). Dad's shipping me over a 4' aged and dried Koa log as thanks for keeping an eye on his son. This will become a guitar or three eventually. I'm stoked.

Sounds great, Paul. Maybe you could pass on a small slab to Dane.
Well, Nate, I've been to Seattle but none of the others. Really loved the place and want to go back (this time without the nagging female accompaniment).
When (hopefully) we organize an Australian (and NZ of course!) gathering of Rickabites, you'll have to come over - be real nice to your aunties, now!
The BOH may be able to assist (what am I saying?).
