Dale, as you've told me, you've been up there in Aloha country for awhile.
I used to shop at the Main Street Std. Brands regularly, and then they just sorta disappeared. Must have been about 11 years ago. Haven't seen one anywhere in LA since. A pity, because they were a good source.
Another specialty chain done in by bog box retailers, I'm afraid...

Er, BIG box.
Bog box is what water closets come packaged in...

No correction necessary, Paul...it all has a lot to do with why our economy is 'bogged down'...

"...up comes a calendar porno site with lots of naked girls posing on various months"
I bet you didn't close out of that right away, though!

To be honest, I didn't click on to it, if you do then it will link you to alot of things you don't want, so I deleted it. To bad cause I really wanted some info on Std. Brds. Paint.

Larry What's Up? How about that secret item used on Ricks, any idea what it might be?

So does all this mean Fabgear or Pickguardian as the best source for a set of Gold Pickguards for and 03 Montezuma Ric 360/6?
I assume you'd just have to paint the TRS gold and brush in the raised Rickenbacker letters with a small black brush.

The T.R. covers were silk screened on the back in reverse, then lacquered over with Gold,Black, or White then clear coated.

That's correct Dan. I misunderstood what you were refering to.

Too bad that Ric is not doing anything constructive to end this TRS problem. Then they could be making some money on pickguards too.

Hmmmm .... using Yahoo search, I found a link to an NLRB action against the Standard Brands Paint company:
http://www.nlrb.gov/nlrb/shared_files/decisions/324/32429.pdf#search='Standard%20Brands%20Paint'
and a 1995 news item on the company's attempt to come out of bankruptcy:
http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m5072/is_n34_v17/ai_17416383
but no porn sites.
Dale, it sounds like you may have a "search-engine hijacker" on your system. Do you use anti-spyware programs like Ad-Aware SE and Spybot Search & Destroy? If not, you should.

Any other TRS ideas to match our TRS's to the gold pickguards?
