I can see how you could arrive at that although I would never have linked the two until I read your post. But for me it's just the same general style. Early power ballads, haha! I like 'I Dig a Pony' a lot better.

Joe Cocker lives here in Colorado...in a little mountain town in the western part of the state called Paonia, which has quite a hip counter-culture reputation. Joe and his wife own a restaurant there...I'd like to check it out sometime, just to see what's on the jukebox. Not Dreamweaver, I'm bettin...

Who could have imagined that Joe would've outlived Belushi?

But he's always been a bit paonioid...

I occasionally play with Cliff Goodwin who was his musical director from the mid 70's until sometime in the 80's. I hate to keep name dropping like this.. but hey someone has to do it, haha! If you ever see him ask him about Worcester, Ma. and Cliff, he doesn't know me from a hole in the wall though.
There's a lot of musicians around here who have played with famous people at different periods in their career. I also played with a sax player who was with Wayne Cochran for two years during the early 70's. I get to play with the people who played with the big boys not with the big boys themselves, oh well.....

I'd love to see the "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" film again!
