I might be interested if the price doesn't get too crazy. If anyone else is serious about it, let me know so we don't bid each other up like idiots.

I neither need it nor can afford it, but I'd like it. I expect that this is a common feeling amongst us here. I've always liked to 4000 though, and I've been on the lookout for a good one for a little while.

It's all going to be moot if my tax refund doesn't get here soon though. That'll teach me to file for an extension !

I don't know what possesses people to give a nice bass like that buckle rash. I learned years ago when I was a kid to turn my belt buckles sideways.

I'm interested in it as a project. Can't go too much higher than it is now.

Same here Bob, I learned that same move the belt buckle to the side lesson with my Univox Hi-Flyer.

Bob, turn the buckle sideways, or just wear a shirt untucked.

That pickguard looks like it's been broken and possibly glued back together. I have an original guard from a '75 4000 that would fit.

There's also a sticker on the guard with a picture of a koala that reads "Bear Crossing Australia". This sticker is certainly not from Australia, as no Australian would ever call a koala a "bear", let alone print it on either a road sign or a sticker. Calling them "bears" is a peculiarity of tourists only.
