I loved them back in the Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here days, they were one of the greatest bands ever, but I think that this reunion is not about saving the poor and the hungry, it's more about saving their careers. They were just waiting for a dignified excuse to reform in the "classic" lineup.

Any excuse is good enough for me! Image

I've been thinking about this reunion and I still can't picture Roger with them. Sad how I was born after he quit and when I think of Floyd The first image that pops into my head is Dave, Nick, and Rick. The secong image is the four but I still think of Post-Waters Floyd first.

They better not suck!

Hey at least they waited for an "excuse". How many "farewell tours" have the Who done? Image

Good point!

"I know I'm going to get bashed for this, but...after "Piper at the Gates," they lose me. I just don't get it."

That's how David Bowie feels. After Barrett there is no Pink Floyd for him.

Exactly! "Piper" is one of those albums I could listen to on infinite repeat; why then is everything else so...different? Some critics describe them as an overtly commercial band, I don't know their later music well enough to judge. But I wonder if that's part of my issue.

Post early '80s I mostly stopped as they are way too expensive. I did see a whole lot before that though.

I saw on the news they're only going to play four songs. That's it? I bet it'll be:
1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Roger singing)
2. Another Brick In The Wall Part 2 (Dave + Roger)
3. Money (Dave)
4. Comfortably Numb (Roger + Dave)

Not bad but that's what I expect. "Shine On" is a good opener and "Numb" is a good closer. The other two are well known. Although "Time" would fit in there to let Rick sing.
