You ever get righties wanting to play you basses? Can they deal with the guitar upside down?
How did you end up playing like that? Surely some well intentioned teacher along the way tried to "convert" you to the "proper" way!

From my FAQs on the Eggmen sight:
"Can I play your bass"?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. NO.
I've told the story of how I started playing "that way" here before but since you asked...
Senior year of high school, 1976. My best friend gets a guitar and amp for Christmas, we decide to start a band, I'll play bass 'cause "it's easier". I find out that a church a few blocks away from my home has a Fender Jazz bass and Fender Bassman amp. I start sneaking out of my bedroom window around midnight, walking to the church, crawl in a back window, and play the righty bass upside-down. About 4AM I sneak back into my bedroom and get a couple hours sleep before school. Did that a few nights a week for about 4 months till I saved up enuff $$ for my first bass by washing dishes at a restaurant after school. It was a righty EB-O copy and I was already used to playing a righty upside-down so...
Since then when I buy a lefty bass/guitar I have to swap the strings/nut around.

Playing upside down?

The guitarist on the right is my friend Jimmy Eppard, the best blues guitarist no one's heard of. The bassist is Quintin Berry and don't ask me how he developed that style, Jimmy didn't ask either. Sure, he overplays TREMENDOUSLY, but I thought you'd find his style interesting at least!
