I'm waiting for the "Where the Action is" DVD box set to come out.Gee I wish I still had the pair of Paul Revere and The Raider boots I bought at Tom McCann's for $9.99.

I don't think they had round wounds in 1964/65 Peter, if they did they were rare, anyway that is definitely not a round wound sound, unless you were joking, in which case, har de har har.

Coincidently, I was just adjusting my lone round wound Ric today in anticipation of a 70's rock band I'm going to check out sometime soon.

OK, when did Rotosound come out with RW bass strings? That photo of Entwistle in their factory, they had on their packaging looked to be around '65-'66(?). He always said he helped them put together their 45-105 Swing Bass set.

Ronn, very cool indeed!!!

Peter Noone is signing it, does that mean the bass player for HHs used it? On Sullivan (Henry The Eighth) he used an upsidedown (he ws a lefty) Gibson Firebird, or whatever those things were called.

The Gibson is extra cool too. The Rivoli and Gibson basses ruled the Brit Invasion scene, IMO; Animals, Searchers, BillY J. & Dakotas, Yardbirds, to mention as few. Might you post a pic of the Rivoli. I will do the same if I can figure out how to do it, can't be that difficult. It will have to be tomorrow cause I am off to band practice. BTW, we are going to learn Tobacco Road. Bass player has got a Ric though, ha, ha. I think it will work OK though.

I just went to the Rotosound site, and they said they started making RS66 Swing Bass in 1962. I never even heard of them until about 1972.
