Well, not a one of you gave me any advise on the 4001, which was really question.
Bob Scott said he wouldn't buy a pick from the guy, which is fair, why buy a pick from yourself.
I'm very pleased to say that by Friday this will be mine, mine, mine all mine mwhuuuhhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha........ Hmmmmm Fireglo !!!!.
As for buying a used bass from Bob, anyday.
Many many thanks Bob, it's truly appreciated. Enjoy the c64s

I'm having such a hard time finding a Horshoe for my new 72 ... but, I did find this along the way, very very nice "D5", April 92, v63
I've said I needed a working pair of v63's for gigs, she should be here in a couple of weeks,
and of course is Fireglo ...... Hmmmmmmmm

Yeah yeah .... I'd sooner trip the binding off the 72 than pull the Shoe of the v63. !!!!
I need more Shoes, not less. !!!!

Why does the WTFglo that Bob posted have a 2 piece pickguard? I've not seen a 2 piece guard on a Ric bass before.

It's an '80s thing.

Wasnt it to help something with the neck? Or make it easier to get to? I heard something like that

Jacob, you're on the right track.
The twin truss rods used to at one point adjust from the body end. In oder to make this easier, the two piece pickgaurd was used.
This way, you could remove the upper part over the neck pickup to adjust the truss rods without having to remove the strings and then a one piece gaurd, including the controls.
Once the truss rods were swapped to the headstock end the two part pickgaurd was discontinued.
