My S8 does not dive either but I do use a fairly wide strap. The strap can make all the difference. I agree, an 8 string requires more strength and stamina to play but they sure do cut through the mix!

When I played my Hamer 12 it WAS the mix!

Yeah, there's something about a 12-string bass. Such a wall of sound. I find it interesting how an 8-string sounds so completely different.

Hey, I have a B12S too! Love to play it, but not really useful for what I'm doing right now. Seems a lot of folks here have them.
