I just unloaded my Aphex Punch Factory too. I'm just not a compression type of guy. Sometimes I'll use the built in compressor in my Yorkie head, but not often.

Turn a tube amp up that high and you have one big compressor!
I always play with compression. Currently I use the dual band compressor built into my Trace Elliot, but I also use an old MXR Limiter. I used to use that with my Mesa 400+ too. When I record in my home studio I use an Alesis Nano Compressor.

Electro Harmonix Black Finger, gotta with my SS amp. Can tweak it to give just a hint of soft vintage sounding tube compression with a hint of pre-amp boost on the pedal and its WARM WARM WARM!!.oh, and very smooth, even and natural!
