Come to think of it I may have seen Freddie and the Dreamers at either the Top Hat or the Pier. Still not sure about that. I saw so many bands back then the venues just all roll into one in the minds eye.

Any way besides Gene Vincent and the Searchers there was one other act. It might have been the Merseybeats or someone like that.

Trouble is everyone was playing basically the same old standards in their sets. If you saw Graham Bond Org they would play "Talkin About You". The Big Three would play Talkin About You and so on.

Yeh, I wish I'd been born about 25 years before I was, I missed all the good stuff!

Our Bass player was born north of London and grew up with all the Great music of the 60's.

He is a hugh Cliff Richard and The Shadows fan.

I have to admit, he's turned me onto them, as well.

Now I have a heck of a time trying to find a lot of the "beat" music here(Saskatchewan, Canada).

does anyone know of any good places in Glasgow/Paisley where I can get this stuff on CD?

I will be there in about a month, so I would sure like to get more of this stuff, as 75% of our groups stuff is based either on the 60's british "beat" music or the 50's rockabilly/country.

Brian your teasing me with the likes of the Big Three or the Merseybeats.
