Micheal,
I've got a 360 MG on lay-away from Shreve Audio. Visit thier site to see a photo of my 360 in MG! I'd like to report that my 360 has lots of "flame" and "birdseyes", but alas it's fairly plain as MG Rickenbackers go. Good luck!

Thought I should post in this thread since my question is regarding the 620/660. For those of you who own a 620 or 660 and other brands of guitars, was the small body size difficult to adjust to? I read a thread where someone sold his because he couldn't adjust to the small body size.

Yeah, but he is almost 7' tall! I would go with the 660, the narrower neck is hard for me, at least, to play. The small body is perfectly proportioned and in balance with the rest of the guitar.

Plus you can't go wrong with checker binding and toasters!

I was thinking about getting the 620 because of the price difference. My fingers are slender and the middle finger is 3.5 inches long so a narrow neck may work out.

The body is not that small. The lower bout is an inch wider than a Strat or Tele. Here is a shot of a 610 with a SG and my homemade neck-through which is close to the size of a LP double cut away.

Thanks for your patience guys.
I went to the store to look at the guitars and I played a 330 FG and fell in love. The sound, the neck and the looks blew me away. It was the coolest guitars I had ever played.
I also looked at an American Deluxe Strat. I also loved the strat. It was so comfortable to play and and the pickups were great. The amber finish was really nice. The neck was very quick, too. My only gripe is so many people have strats.
Both of these guitars are almost the same price. I am torn on what to get. The things I didn't like about the 330 were the neck was not as quick at the strat's. Also, (I know you guys won't like this) the 330 pickups weren't as versatile as the strat's. The strat was also more durable and would take a drop or a stupid drummer sitting on it better.
My conclusion is that the strat would be more practicle for what I'm doing, but my gut tells me to get the Ric. What do you think?
Please don't just say get the 330 because Rickenbacker is the only company that makes good guitars.
Thanks again for you help and patience.
Ken, your homemade neck through looks like the PRS Santana

You said it yourself:
I played a 330 FG and fell in love. The sound, the neck and the looks blew me away. It was the coolest guitars I had ever played.
Go with the gut - as you get to know it, you'll find that it can produce sounds that no Strat ever could. You'll learn to love it so much, you'll never drop it.
As for stupid drummers - well, I can't help you there

I purchased a fireglo 330 in March. (First guitar in 30 years) There really was no question as to which brand just which model. Two weeks ago I purchased a MIM Strat for 1/3 the cost of a MIA. Yes I know the differences between the 2 Stats but you can mod the MIM to your hearts content. My next purchase will most likely be a RIC 620. The tone of the strat and the 330 are like night and day so the type of music you will be playing should be considered.

I listened to you guys and bought the 330 in Fireglo.
It is a very red fireglo. I'll post some pics maybe. This is my first Ric so it might take me some time to get used to it. It is so different than any other guitar I've played.

I like fireglo for the 330 and 360 but If I order a 620 it will be in blueburst.

Congratulations, Michael. That's a great way to start but be warned...... resistance to further purchases is extremely difficult - especially a 12, as Paul has stated!
I started with a 330FG in January and have bought or ordered four more since!!
