OK, I'll have to try that with the Carvin, Owen. But the issue then becomes one of having a 50+ pound pre-amp! There's no top to the head section of the Trace if I take it out...
Also have NOT yet tried the 15" 8 ohm cabs I have, and won't be able to for a while...they are at the singers house since our last gig, and he's going to be out of town til next week.

Tried the Trace as a pre-amp with my Behringer, and it worked well. Actually had to use the line out of the Trace into the effects return on the Behringer. I would have never guessed that the return was effectively the power amp in...
So that works. Now I have to find someone who can fashion a piece of sheet metal for a cover to the amp unit. That should be easier than "merging" two amps together.
