If you try to put a 6 string TRC on a 12 Geoff, some of the TRC will cover the slot. Try it...take your 6 string TRC off & try it on the 12....you'll see what I mean.

Thanks, Brian. I may take you up on that.

The TRC on a 12 will be a bit slimmer...
Here's a picture so we can compare, they're both off 360's.
There's still a few different TRC that you can encounter.

Gold PGs and TRCs look great on a lot of models. I'm a bit surprized that Ric stays with white so often for their basic models.

That gold set looks like a good deal at 85. But what would you do with the black controls knobs with silver faced knobs? Tape them and over spray them lightly?
Of course Ric's have no other gold hardware. Such as the tailpiece, bridge, pickup surrounds, and tuners. So they do look good or not on the guitar? You can buy schaller gold locking tuners.

Repetition is the sincerest form of self-flattery.
So, Dan, did you ask yourself out last night?
I hope you didn't get turned down...

I've actually replaced the knobs on my 380L with ebony capped gold dome knobs from Qparts. Qparts also offers a "mini" dome knob that looks great in the "blend" position. There are plenty of finish and cap options that would look great on a white or gold pickguard. The best Qparts dealer I've found so far is at

John, those Qparts knobs look pretty cool. Since they start with a Q they can't be all bad either. Do they have a mark on there somewhere so you can tell about what level you have them set on? Its pretty nice too that they have the mini knob. Can you put up a pic of your Ric so we can gawk at it?
Actually the present Ric knobs don't look bad at tall either. I was wondering if anyone had ever over sprayed just the top with the volume, treble, ect, knobs, with just a light mist of gold? Might work, might not. Would'nt wanna loose the volume treble stuff either.
They are very simular to Kustom amp knobs. I dout Ric will ever make gold center ones.
