Well......Dave? What is the verdict. I played mine at IPO in LA and had no problem playing solos and distorted parts that by the way sound great on the RIC.

Still waiting to get mine back. Looks like Mark got flooded with 12's just as I sent mine in. I hope to get it back soon. The new band plays its first paying gig on the 31st of this month. I would like to use it on Jenny/867-5309 I'll keep you posted . Dave

The week that I got Dave's I got 5 other 12 strings ... but my delay of this past month has been my eldest daughter .... she is about to have twins and she moved north to Bellingham from the north sie of Seattle .. that is 85 miles or so and I was the Dad with the Van ... so I hauled lots of stuff .

My wife is taking two weeks off to help with the babies , I will be a working machine in everyones absence ... lots to do ...
I'll keep everyone posted as to the girls arrival.

I have finished several of these 12 strings , the most major one was a refret , to gain the maximum width of the 360-12 V 64 and then all the usual modifications;new nut at maximum width , relocation of the bridge plate ,etching the bottom of that plate (most of these are NOT symetrical ) so the bass side and treble side would never be turned around inadvertantly, installation of a 12 saddle bridge , and that needed the plate centered to the neck rather than the notches centering on the neck , the side of the headstock tuners needed remounting as they kept coming loose -again a common thing , and then changing the 'R' tailpiece to the vintage tailpiece.

Lots of work and he does lots of session work in the Seattle area ...a long time customer of mine .

Well I finally got my Ric back on Friday. I must says it was well worth the wait!! What a difference in playability. I spent 90 minutes today playing along with old Byrds albums.

I will soon being playing this 360/12 thru a new Vibroverb clone I'm putting together. This combination is going to sound sweet.

I have replaced the nut on my 360/12. I found an old Rickenbacker 4001 nut laying around and I used that. The width allowed me to file the correct fingerboard profile. Following Mark's steps, I made an AutoCad drawing of the nut slots and transferred the spacing to the new nut blank. Works fine. Now, after buying the various files at $12 a pop, a table top vise, and some various nuts of various materials, I'm ready to experiment with differences. If anyone needs a template of the nut let me know.
