Good luck! I bought a Jetglo '73 back in April and while I paid through the wazoo for it, I love it. It has all the essential features (full-width inlays, split tailpiece, Grovers, silkscreen TRC, checkered binding, 1/2" spaced toaster) and best yet, it looked almost as good as the day it was made! It's essentially a 9.5 out of 10. Needless to say, it doesn't leave the house.

If you get that around $2,250-2500 Ken that's a good price imo. Even at the asking price of $2700, I dare say a few people here and lurking would be interested...

Marc, you will be the first to know as long as you promise to change the guard add a finger rest and thats it.

I have a guard and finger rest ready to go! I'd be just as happy if it were in your hands or anyone in the forum.
Funny reason to like a 71 4001 in jetglo - I love baseball, and used to collect cards as a kid(didn't we all). The 1971 Topps Baseball set had black borders(or should I say jetglo)

This isn't the first time this bass in Italy has been discussed here, Ken!

Hey Ron, I was just at the link for your 73 4001. Nice bass! I have a 72 MG, and oddly enough it doesn't have the checkerboard binding, and the fretboard markers don't go all the way to the edge!
I do know it's a 72 though, since I bought it new. May have been in November. They had to custom order me the MG. Odd.
Always wanted a Jetglo, but my friend talked me into the MG. I was on the fence over it.
