My take: its your bass-ya do what you want.

Irreversible mods will get you only when you sell. Who cares if you put a mud-bucker pick-ups on your '68 4001? WE DO, but it's your bass.

I don't play my 4004LK, I get **** for it-but it's my bass.

I put horseslippers on my 4003S/8, crass, but I like it.

Yes, my '76 4005WB gets gigged quite often.




I put a V63 horseshoe in my '73 4001, but that can be reversed easily.

My 4004LK may not be vintage yet but it will be....I'd also classify it as very rare and it gets gigged when I do !

Jared....as far as you not playing your LK......more power to ya'. I can't do it and I don't understand it but it is yours to do with as you wish. Just please think of me if you ever part with it so I can bring it to the darkside ......
