RA used to work for RT. I have played an RA bass, the 5 string fretted one that was reviewed in Bass Player a few years ago, in fact, the very one reviewed! It was at the old LA Bass Exchange store in Tarzana. It was very nice but did sound different than the RT bass. I used to have a 5 string RT Ren bass, so I knew what to expect with the 4 string version, very unique, awesome mwah and it can get very deep or burpy depending on playing technique. I understand that the RT basses sound their best through high fidelity systems.
