I doubt our new Governor General would allow Ben to enter Canada on such a tour-after all, the ensuing mayhem and madness would just be too much for our quiet Canadian sensibilities. Otherwise, I would've offered to host you on the Northern leg of your tour Ben.

Ben, I can quietly sneak you into Canada from the Detroit side... Image

Ben doesn't need to sneak into Canada, the new Gov. General is from party central Quebec. Just bring Rics. LOL!

John, here in Montreal, there is more eye candy and easy girls in any form... dancing or (use your imagination) than just about anyplace else in North America. I left Place d'Armes subway station on Saturday, heading for Old Montreal, and was so totally distracted by "scenery" that I suddenly found myself standing in the middle of a 6" deep, 30 foot diameter water fountain... very classy like.

Ideally ALL guitars on a given production order are finished in three weeks. This doesn't always happen though since a model like a 330 can be constructed much faster than a 381/12V69.

However, we don't give a whole lot of leeway as far as extra production time for tougher models because of the amount of work we have.

300's and 4003's are not as time consuming as 600's.

My apologies to all our English brethren. Seems the place hasn't been the same since I visited in June '02....... Image

Thanks for the info, Ben, I very much appreciate it. It is interesting that the 600s tend to take longer than the 300s. I would have thought the 600s to be more like the 4000s. Must be all that fancy checkered binding!

Well, let's be a bit clearer, Brad...620s are white bound. 660s are double-bound on the front, first with checkered binding and then with a white binding over that.

Binding is very, very labor-intensive.

The binding is a bear but what delays those guitars the most is the fact that the necks on 600 series models are 100% handmade. A 650 takes almost as much time to produce as a 620.

This goes for 4004's as well as the 5002V58's (which we happen to have few in the factory right now)

Hi Ben, can I ask what the reason is that the 600 series necks are 100% hand made and the other series necks aren't?

They have not been programmed on the CNC machines yet.

Is the 325 programmed?

I suppose you're referring to the C64? They are up and running.

Man, I sure would like to see a photo of a rack of Bluebursts waiting for hardware or setup! Image
